Believe the hype - Green Dot Stables is truly Detroit’s newest gem!

Although the restaurant/bar is only 3 months old, the focus on making quality food, providing outstanding customer service, plus a fantastic (jockey-themed) decor are the key ingredients in, what i believe to be, the success & longevity of Green Dot Stables.

What’s not to love about this place? Besides the lovely gourmet sliders, the playlist here is seriously dope (everything from Amy Winehouse to Frankie Valli classics) and i love the obscure Corktown Shores location!

Almond Garlic Soup - A perfect balance between the smooth nutty flavor of almonds and the ever so slight hint of garlic - one of my fav items here!

Chicken Paprikash Soup - Everything you know & love about this Hungarian dish, all in a warm comforting bowl of soup!

Mac & Cheese - At first bite, i wasn’t sure about this dish…so i took another forkful and yet another, and the layers of flavors kept building up. Between the creamy cheese blend and the slight heat of chili, really got me hooked - a box to go please!

French Fries - Make sure you order fries with your meal! Hand-cut, thin, crispy, amazing, highly addictive fries - my favorite are their malt fries!

Catfish Slider - Delicate, flaky, crispy goodness!

Korean Slider - Kimchi + Peanut Butter + Slider = Surprisingly tasty!

Mystery Meat - Every week they feature a different type of meat, so check their Facebook page for the weekly special. So far i’ve tried the Braised Antelope (with Horseradish Whole Grain Mustard and Sauteed Mushrooms) & Elk (with Lemon Curd, Caramelized Fennel, and Fennel Frawns). Both mystery meat sliders were excellent!

Frozen Mitten Sorbets - This independent food vendor, offers its frozen treats as a perfect ending to a Green Dot Stables meal. The Pear-Cardamom sorbet was deeelish!
